How did you get started in this business? What inspired you to start this business?
I joined my family’s business as a young man. As a native Floridian living in Weston, I am well aware of the sweltering heat and I wanted to help my family grow the business to better serve those who need cool air at home. Since I grew up in the industry, I gradually learned all that goes into running an air conditioning company. I have experienced every position that my employees carry out in their All Year Cooling careers. This helps me to empathize with all my employees and create meaningful connections with my staff and the unique needs of our customers.
How did you get your first customer?
Although this was before my time in the company, I do know that our first customer came from a referral from a family friend who needed an air conditioning system put in. This encompasses the All Year Cooling values perfectly. We strive to create such an outstanding and seamless experience for our customers, that they refer us to any friends or family members that are having air conditioning problems.
What is one marketing strategy (other than referrals) that you’re using that works really well to generate new business?
Social Media, especially Facebook and Instagram, helps me to build a sense of community with South Floridians. As a family business and close-knit team, we post pictures of us at home installations, in addition to testimonials with happy customers. We’re always updating our page with the latest offers and coupons to make sure everyone sees the best deals available in South Florida. In addition, review sites like Google Plus and Yelp enable us to have direct contact with our customers and make sure our current customers are satisfied. We know that people trust reviews from real people, so we always encourage new testimonials from happy customers.
What do you think it is that makes you successful?
I believe that our dedication to the customer makes us successful. Customer service is our number one priority and for that reason we place the highest value on being punctual and efficient with each and every ac installation and repair. If we get something wrong, we will do everything in our power to make it right.
What has been your most satisfying moment in business?
Our 45th anniversary year is greatly satisfying. Having a family business in our field last for 45 years and continue to gain success is unusual and we are proud to provide a service that all of South Florida needs.
What does the future hold for your business? What are you most excited about?
I hope to continue with the growth trends we have experienced over the last 45 years. We’ve completed more than 350,000 repairs and installations, and I want to see that number continue to multiply. Florida will continue to stay hot, so we want to continue to ensure the South Florida community is as cool and comfortable as possible.
