Soheil Nazari-Kangarlou is a successful business executive with over three decades working within the domestic and international markets.  He has served as an advisor to various enterprises and heads of governments throughout the globe,  working within the fields of energy, construction, oil and gas, financing, commerce, telecommunications, technology, healthcare,  manufacturing and distribution services. Soheil’s expertise lies in international diplomacy and global business operations, which he utilizes to provide valuable insights to his clients. Earlier in his career, Mr. Nazari was a co-founder of Green Road Energy, Oktron Inc., and Eye On Your Technologies, Inc. He also served as the CEO of all three companies at some point. These companies all found success under Soheil’s leadership, due to his strategic planning and expert insights.

Soheil Nazari and his team from Green Road Energy assisted clients in reducing their carbon footprints by producing clean and renewable energy solutions for their vehicles.  They created self-charging high capacity power sources for commercial vehicles allowing them to idle without running through gas.

While Soheil served as the CEO of Oktron Inc., he headed a team that provided a cloud-based security solution allowing multi-modal identity, access, and engagement management for mobile apps. The application provides the simplest and easiest way to implement complex mobile security solutions for SMBs and large enterprise.

At Eye On Your Technologies, Soheil led a team that worked on projects for various companies in the Cloud, SaaS, Security, Data, Fiber, Voice, and Video Surveillance industries. The company found success under Soheil’s direction due to his ability to find innovative solutions to common problems.

He has also served as the Chief Sales & Marketing Officer of Drumbi Corporation recruited by the CEO to join Drumbi’s executive team to restructure the organization’s sales and marketing program (including a competitive compensation plan), realign product pricing with financial targets, and develop channel partnerships to drive global expansion. He collaborated with technical teams to ensure service-oriented architecture was robust and stable to seamlessly integrate multiple technologies and meet the needs of their diverse clientele ranging from small businesses to Fortune 500s.  Soheil advised the CEO on strategic roadmaps for leveraging emerging technologies to enhance and expand operations.

How did you get started as an entrepreneur?

I have always been interested in business and growth. This led me to work in a variety of businesses and industries when I was younger. I gained a lot of experience and understanding in these areas, which helped me start my own businesses. The first company I founded was Eye On Your Technologies, Inc. in 2003, followed by Oktron Inc., and then Green Road Energy in 2017. But now, I am focused on Gainful Solutions.

What do you like most about being an entrepreneur?

I love being an entrepreneur because it allows me to be my own boss and have a lot of freedom in how I run my business. It also gives me the opportunity to work with a lot of different people from all over the world, which provides me with in-depth knowledge on various topics. I really enjoy the challenge and creative control of being able to take an idea of a business and then seeing it grow and succeed.

What is one failure you had to face in the past and how did you overcome it?

I think every business faces difficulties and setbacks at some point. The important thing is to learn from these failures and use them as opportunities to improve. For example, when I was first starting out, I failed to properly plan and execute a new business venture. I learned that it’s important to have a clear business plan and strategy in place before taking on any new projects. I am not resentful of my mistakes in the past because you cannot have success without failure, and you cannot appreciate success without failure. These mistakes inevitably brought me to where I am today and for that I am eternally grateful.

When you were starting out, was there ever a time you doubted it would work? If so, how did you handle that?

Of course, there were times when I doubted whether my business would succeed. But I never let that doubt stop me from moving forward. I just kept working hard and trying new things until I found what worked. I think that’s the key to success in business: never give up and always be willing to try new things.

What do you consider as your greatest achievement so far?

Well, I am not done yet- I am still working on achieving my greatest potential.

I do believe that my ability to help businesses grow and expand into new markets is one of my driving forces into success. If I had to pinpoint instances where I felt great achievement it is my ability to make a difference in political efforts by providing strategies, opportunities, and my knowledge and connections to further people’s efforts in governmental change.

What makes me happy is being able to help others achieve their goals. Whether it’s through providing business or political advice or simply being a listening ear, I take pride in helping people reach their potential.

What makes you successful?

One of the things that makes me successful as an entrepreneur is my willingness to experiment. I’m always trying new things and testing out different methods to see what works best for me. I think this approach has helped me to be more productive and efficient in my work.

I believe that being flexible and open-minded are essential qualities for anyone looking to start their own business. That’s why I’m always willing to try new things and take on new challenges.

What is one marketing strategy (other than referrals) that you are using that works well to generate new business?

As a business owner, I think it’s important to use a variety of marketing strategies in order to reach new customers and grow your business. I especially believe in online marketing techniques, such as search engine optimization and social media marketing, as well as traditional offline methods, such as networking and print advertising.

We are a company that advises others, so ensuring that people are aware of our achievements and capabilities is an important strategy and driving force for our marketing efforts.

What is the toughest decision you’ve ever had to make in business?

I think the toughest decisions are usually the ones that involve people. For example, I’ve had to make decisions about hiring and firing employees. These can be difficult because you have to balance the needs of the business with the well-being of the people involved. Another is business expansion. It can be tough to decide when and where to expand your business, but it’s important to weigh all the options carefully before making a decision.

What do you think your business will be like in 10 years?

Gainful Solutions is a rapidly expanding firm with the hope to expand  in the next 10 years. Our primary focus is on our relationships with government and political entities, but we also are excited to work closely with private organizations to help unite and achieve their goals. We are dedicated to providing the highest quality of service possible and are always looking for ways to improve. I believe in the next 10 years we will be much bigger and have had a great impact on businesses and the government.

What advice would you give someone who is just starting out in business?

If you are just starting out your business, a piece of advice would be to not be afraid to take risks. I think it’s important to step out of your comfort zone and try new things. I also think it’s important to surround yourself with people who are supportive and who believe in your vision.

I’m an entrepreneur who believes in taking risks and trying new things. I’m also a big believer in surrounding yourself with positive people who support your vision.

What advice do you have for your younger self?

Be patient and enjoy the ride. Great things do not come easy, they require hard work so it is important to have a clear business plan and strategy that you are willing to work at until it is successful.
