What was your motivation behind starting SOS Ministries?
For me, starting SOS Ministries was never a choice – it was a calling. My faith has always been a central part of my life, and it has driven me to use that faith to make a positive difference in the world. And through SOS Ministries, I am doing just that. Our mission is simple: to help others find their way home – to God’s eternal love and joy. We work tirelessly to reach the unreached, to build Hope Centers where people can come together in worship, and to spread the message of Jesus to those who have never heard it before. As a husband and father of three, I understand the need for support and guidance in our lives, and I want to be able to give back in a tangible way. And through SOS Ministries, we are doing just that – providing clean water to villages in need, and helping those who are searching for spiritual guidance find their way to Jesus. It is a truly humbling experience, and one that I feel so blessed to be a part of.
Can you share some of the work SOS Ministries has completed lately?
I am beyond excited to share with you all about the amazing partnership that SOS Ministries has recently formed with the Tim Tebow Foundation. Together, we are working to provide physical and spiritual care to adults and children with profound medical needs. This collaboration will allow us to expand our reach and provide even more support for those in need. I am overjoyed to report that this year, our partnership is serving in both El Salvador and Guatemala, and the impact we are making is immeasurable. This is only the beginning, and I can’t wait to see what we can accomplish together in the future. By combining our efforts, we can truly make a difference in the lives of these individuals and their families for generations to come.
Since 2000, we’ve been able to plant more than 30 wells in rural villages across Togo, Nigeria, and Benin. It’s hard to put into words the difference that access to safe drinking water can make for families who previously had to travel far distances, or even resort to drinking contaminated water. It’s a joy to see the relief and gratitude on their faces as they now have easy access to clean water thanks to these new wells. It’s a privilege to be a part of this work and to have the opportunity to make such a tangible difference in people’s lives.
How has your experience led to the foundation of SOS Ministries?
My relationship with Jesus Christ was the ultimate motivation that guided me through starting the SOS foundation. My life as a husband and father additionally gave me the help and strength in working together to start SOS foundation. I am blessed with a wonderful wife, Sandy, who has been my constant companion for many years. Together, we have three amazing children who we are incredibly proud of. Our eldest, Levi, is married to a godly lady and is a school teacher. They have three sons and three grandkids. Our middle child, Micah, is a medical professional and has a beautiful daughter named Ellie, my first granddaughter. Lastly, our youngest Sofia, an adopted teenager from El Salvador, has brought us so much joy and love. I am determined to be the best role model for my family, but also recognize how privileged we are compared to others who don’t have the same opportunities. That’s why I humbly turn to the Lord to help me give back to those who are less fortunate. Starting SOS foundation is my way of taking action and helping others.
As a person who has been preaching the Gospel for years, I have been blessed enough to travel and take the message of the Lord to all six continents. It has been an incredible journey, and I am grateful for each opportunity that has come my way. Along the way, I have also been an itinerant speaker at conferences, churches, and events. However, what struck me the most was that there are so many people out there who do not have the chance to learn about the Lord and His teachings. It was with this in mind that the Lord guided me to found SOS Ministries. Our mission is to not only spread the word of the Lord but to provide people with a place to worship. I believe that everyone should have access to the love and teachings of the Lord, and I am honored to be a part of an organization that makes this possible.
What does the future of SOS Ministries include?
My heart is full of gratitude as I embark on this journey with SOS Ministries to continue spreading the word of the Lord. It is an honor to be part of an organization that strives to make a difference in the lives of those in need. Our upcoming travels to foreign countries are a testament to our dedication to providing clean water, building a place of worship, and assisting individuals who need our help. The Lord’s work is never complete, so we must continue to expand our services and reach more people. With each new challenge, I am reminded of the power of faith and the importance of serving others. I am excited about what the future holds and the difference we will make together.
