What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs who are just starting out?

My biggest piece of advice is to focus on solving a problem that you’re passionate about. Too often, people start businesses for the wrong reasons, like trying to chase the latest trend or make a quick buck. If you’re not passionate about what you’re doing, it’s going to be very difficult to persevere through the tough times. But if you’re solving a problem that you care deeply about, then the tough times will be worth it.

What is your hiring philosophy?

My hiring philosophy is to hire the most honest, dependable and respectful staff possible. I look for those who are friendly and patient. It’s very important to us that we choose someone with a positive attitude because their attitude will also be reflected onto our customers. I enjoy teaching and training people the skills that they need, but certain qualities people bring in the door with them.

How do you delegate work?

There is no one-size-fits-all answer to this question, as the best way to delegate work will vary depending on the specific situation and context. However, some tips on how to delegate work effectively include:

  1. Define the goal or outcome that you want to achieve.
  2. Assign tasks based on each individual’s strengths and weaknesses.
  3. Make sure that everyone understands their roles and responsibilities.
  4. Set clear expectations for what needs to be done and by when.
  5. Provide regular feedback and guidance along the way.
  6. Be available to answer questions and offer support as needed.

What piece of advice do you wish someone had given you at the start of your career?

I wish someone had told me that I should always do my best but to remember that there is no reason to compare myself with others because we all start at different points in life. My other advice would be to take things slowly and make sure you are ready for what you want before you go all in. It’s important not to get ahead of yourself because you might fail if you plan too much at once, so start small and work your way up!

How do you handle fear?

Everyone experiences and deals with fear differently. However, some tips that may help you deal with fear include: acknowledging and accepting your fears, reframing your thinking to focus on the positive aspects of the situation, breaking down your goal into smaller and more manageable steps, and building up your confidence through visualization and positive self-talk. Remember that everyone experiences fear at times – it’s a normal and natural emotion. By learning how to handle fear in a healthy and productive way, you can use it as a motivation to achieve your goals.

What are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced as an entrepreneur?

There have been many challenges along the way, but one of the biggest has been staying ahead of the curve in an ever-changing industry. We’ve had to continually adapt our business model and offerings to stay competitive. This has meant investing in new technology, processes, and staff.

What are your thoughts on the current state of the economy?

The current state of the economy is challenging, but I remain optimistic. I believe that the American people are resilient and will eventually recover from this setback. In the meantime, I encourage everyone to support businesses and continue spending money to keep the economy moving.

What is a habit of yours as an entrepreneur that you would recommend?

Consistency. Many entrepreneurs want to do everything themselves in the early stages of a business, which is a good thing because you learn a lot about every aspect of your company. However, when you have a few employees and are ready to grow your company it is important to ensure that the day-to-day tasks have been delegated out so that no one person can sink the ship if they decide to leave.

Tell us, how do you deal with rejection?

Rejection is never easy, but you have to learn from every experience. The most important thing to remember about rejection is that it can’t always be your fault. Sometimes it’s out of your control and the only way to know that is by giving everything a try in order to understand what you are good at. The more experience you have, the better because when you get rejected for something you’ve done before you will know how much effort to put into future projects so they don’t meet the same fate! It’s okay if things don’t go your way – just keep trying until they do because not every situation calls for the same approach.

What do you think it is that makes you successful?

I think there are a few things. One of the main things that has helped me has been to stay humble, as well as being grateful for the success that I have seen and for the help that I have received along the way. Sometimes we are too quick to look at outside causes for why we have failed and then to look inward for why we have succeeded. I think having a balanced view has helped me to stay grounded, and that, in turn, has allowed me to be successful.
