How and what inspired you to start the medical practice?

I started NY Spine Care out of a profound dedication to alleviating pain in patients. This unwavering commitment has been a driving force throughout my career path. After earning a medical degree from the University of Alabama, I sought out opportunities to gain experience across various hospitals. Eventually, I arrived at the position of Director of Pain Management at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Queens and Queens Medical Associates Center. These experiences laid the groundwork for the eventual creation of NY Spine Care. My passion to serve patients to the best of my ability motivated me to establish a facility that prioritizes compassionate care and innovative treatment methods.

What  books have inspired you and given you insight in prioritizing work life balance?

Over the last few years, I have read my fair share of books, but few have had the practical and long-lasting impact of David Allen’s Getting Things Done. This book is a treasure trove of strategies for better managing our time, tasks, and priorities, all aimed at helping us become more productive and effective in our work. Whether you are a busy executive, an entrepreneur, or a medical doctor, there is something in this book for everyone. From its straightforward approach to setting goals and managing projects to its clever tricks for reducing stress and increasing focus, Getting Things Done is a must-read for anyone who wants to achieve more in less time.

Is there a phrase, mantra you live by?

That would be, Far and away the best prize that life offers is the chance to work hard at work worth doing. I think it’s Theodore Roosevelt who said it, and I find it so relatable in my life.
