How did you get started in this business?

I came from a family of hard workers, so my path to becoming an entrepreneur started at a young age. Whenever I wanted to do something, I’d find a way to make it happen before moving on to the next thing.

How do you make money?

Match Right Matchmaking generates revenue through sales, which requires a LOT of phone calls and meetings. We offer a wide range of packages to best accommodate our clients needs.

How long did it take for you to become profitable?

It only took a couple of months after opening the doors to start making money, but that’s because we spent the six months leading up to then making sure everything was perfect by launch. Once our plan was put into action, money soon followed.

When you were starting out, was there ever a time you doubted it would work? If so, how did you handle that?

I still doubt myself sometimes. There will always be days when you feel terrible and can’t escape the funk, and that’s okay. I’ve learned that I don’t really have a say in anything and to trust the universe’s timing. All we can really do is follow our intuition and do our best.

How did you get your first customer?

I remember going through realtors’ books, websites, social media, and every platform I could find for single guys to match. It took a ton of calls to land my first client, but that due diligence built a great foundation for our business.

What is one marketing strategy (other than referrals) that you’re using that works really well to generate new business?

Social media helps in such a huge way to generate new business because it keeps you connected and allows you to find new leads. You can never know too many people in this industry.

What is the toughest decision you’ve had to make in the last few months?

Men can be so brutal sometimes, making it tough to respond and match them. However, it’s important to really pay attention to why they’re being brutal, so I can understand them better and match them with the right person.

What do you think it is that makes you successful?

My mom says it’s my personality. I’d agree. I’ve always been able to keep my energy level at a ten so my clients can feel comfortable being at a 5-6. I just love making people feel comfortable and understood.

What has been your most satisfying moment in business?

I constantly have satisfying moments, but I think the best is yet to come. I’m only getting better at matchmaking and loving the journey.

What does the future hold for your business? What are you most excited about?

The future for us holds expansion and bringing on more people. I’m most excited about scaling to new places and getting more involved with our communities.

What business books have inspired you?

This isn’t a business book, but most of my inspiration came from working with Grant Cardone. He was the owner of a million things yet still mentored me through business and taught me some of the greatest lessons to date. Everyone needs someone like that in their life.

What advice would you give to your younger self?

I would hug her and tell her that so many things in life will be really difficult, but don’t race through the pain and remember to appreciate every moment.. Always stop and smell the roses.
