What made you want to do the work you do? Please share the full story.
Leaders typically come in two sizes, Executors and Visionaries. I feel like I am more Visionary than Executor, but I have a solid balance. What interested me in the laser business was the impact that cold laser therapy can have on its users. I have always been a very active person and in 2025 I tore my Achilles and was put on the side line for approx 10 months. That crushed my over physical well being but was also a mental struggle as well. The LumaCare Duo accelerated my healing process and got me back to active around the 7-8 month mark instead of the standard 10-12 months. From there I was hooked on cold laser therapy. That was around the time that the Nelson Brothers reached out to me about this opportunity. The chance to really lean into my leadership skills and mentality to sincerely want to help people was my main inspiration.

What are the 3 things you like best about your work and why?
1- There are a lot of people willing to help.
2- Easy to motivate people.
3- Easy for me to stay positive in the uncomfortable.
What are your greatest 3 skills and how have they helped you succeed?
Consistency – You have to have a plan, but you have to stay consistent in that plan and process. I would not have consistently reached the peak of every position I have had without understanding that you find your personal groove within that position and then you lean into consistency within that.
Be Inspired – This could be the littlest of things like seeing a cute old lady crossing the street with her dog or as big as seeing your own child accomplish something big in their life. Finding Inspiration on a Daily basis helps me with keeping a positive attitude and also aware that every little thing does not have to be difficult. This also helps with just staying grounded and understanding the purpose.
Chase – You always have to have something you’re chasing. At least for my personality, if I do not have something I am chasing it is easy to lose sight of what I am doing and why. This could be a goal, a number, a person, a company, a personal achievement, etc, etc.
Tell us about a time you were dead wrong about something.
I think there are times in life where you think or expect someone is sharing your same mindset and drive. Then you find out that they are not as invested as you are, or at least on your same level. It is tough when you are giving your time mostly for their direct benefit and then they end up not really caring. You start then with the great skill of reading the situation better and asking better quality questions. Directness becomes a new skill.
How do you get yourself out of a funk? Please share the details.
If it is a momentary situation then I go on a walk and listen to my music. If it is a continuous struggle I will usually remove myself from the situation and jump into one of my activities like skiing or golf.
What is a habit you try to stick to and how has it helped you?
My morning routine of stretching, circuit training, walking, and taking care of my chickens. The easy mornings are just that easy. I get up and knock it out. But it is the consistent desire and grit to stick to my routine on the bad mornings that is the difference maker.
How do you celebrate your victories?
I barely have time to do much, but when I have had a successful day it usually means I end up having time to read. If I am celebrating a victory with the team then it is usually a planned event with our families.
What is your favorite book and why?
I am in the process of reading the Red Rising book Trilogy. I am about halfway through the three books. It is very intense and I am a huge fan of sci-fi. The protagonist is continually dealt with a chaotic situation and he has to make pin point decisions in a harsh world.
What advice would you give to your younger self and why?
I would have told my College Self to become an Entrepreneur out of the gate. This would have helped me lean into my natural state of leading as well as fed my creative and visionary side of my personality.
Who has been your biggest mentor in life (personal or professional) and how have they helped you?
Besides Family I would say Ric Traferri. In the corporate world it is easy to get lost in the sauce or the numbers. He taught me how to get to know people on a personal level. That is the easiest path to be able to motivate anyone. If I were choosing someone that I do not know personally then I would say Michael Jordan. Just for the purity of his determination, mental toughness, and discipline.
Just for fun, what is your favorite food?
My favorite food item is Garden Gate Toffee. If you are asking for a dish, I make a really good Chicken Parm.
