Founded in 2023 in New York City, Zealthy was created to make healthcare more personal, affordable, and accessible. Led by Kyle Robertson, an accomplished healthcare entrepreneur, the company combines modern medical treatments with lifestyle coaching to support a wide range of needs. At 27, Kyle founded Cerebral, a telehealth company that transformed access to mental health care through a virtual model. Under his leadership, Cerebral scaled to nearly a million patients during the pandemic and became the fastest-growing mental health startup in history, reaching a $4.8 billion valuation. With Zealthy, Kyle continues his mission to reimagine healthcare, building a more human-centered approach that puts accessibility and affordability at the core.

We sat down with the Zealthy team to talk about their journey, what drives them, and how they see the future of healthcare.

Telehealth is advancing. How do you make sure you’re keeping up with new treatments like virtual mental health care and compounded medications?

We stay ahead by weaving the most relevant clinical innovations into our care model without losing sight of scale and accessibility. We were early adopters of GLP-1 treatments for offering both branded and compounded versions to help more patients access treatment. Our virtual mental health care is built around proven medication protocols and flexible, asynchronous messaging, so patients get timely and consistent support

Behind the scenes, we coordinate insurance directly, centralize prescription management, and rely on data-driven workflows to ensure every new service integrates seamlessly into real world care. This built-in agility allows us to adapt quickly as research advances, patient needs change, or regulations evolve.

Your team is growing quickly. What’s the secret to keeping everyone motivated and on the same page?

At the heart of it all, our values are about access, empathy, and impact. We want to help people achieve real results, whether that’s sustainable weight loss, a better mood, or finally finding relief inside the company. We celebrate iteration, use data to guide decisions, and keep the mission front and center. We’d rather innovate than stick to “how it’s always been done,” and that mindset keeps the team motivated and adaptable.

With so many specialties under one roof, how do you make sure providers stay up to date on both medical and regulatory changes?

Our providers work across multiple specialties, so staying current is non-negotiable. They get regular updates on medical board standards, new treatment options, and state-specific rules. For high-demand areas like GLP-1s, psychiatric medications, and compounded.

We hold structured refreshers led by medical leadership and clinical operations. We also build compliance into our systems, using EMR safeguards, credentialing oversight, and regular audits, so providers can focus on care while we handle the red tape.

From a patient’s point of view, what have you done to make the process faster, simpler, and less stressful?

We’ve designed our platform to simplify the experience from the very first step. Patients begin with a guided digital intake, and most are reviewed by a clinician within 24–48 hours, much faster than traditional care. Prescription fulfillment is handled through pharmacy coordination and insurance authorization, with proactive follow-ups to help secure coverage. We’ve also streamlined billing, with transparent pricing and straightforward refund policies, including for patients who don’t qualify for treatments like GLP-1s. Our goal is simple: make care easy to access, transparent, and stress-free.

The telehealth space is crowded. Which companies or trends do you watch most closely?

Many clients struggle against deep-rooted behaviors that derail their weight loss journey,” says Kyle Robertson, Zealthy’s CEO. “Our program isn’t just about medication, it’s about giving patients the tools, coaching, and support they need to build lasting, healthier habits.”

The rise of companies like Hims proves that patients are ready to seek treatment for sensitive issues online. Others have since carved out niches in weight loss, sexual health, and mental health. But most of these models remain narrow and transactional, focused on single conditions or quick prescriptions.

Zealthy takes a different path. By combining primary care, mental health, and weight-loss support into a single integrated platform, we deliver care that is more convenient, more coordinated, and ultimately more sustainable. This full-spectrum approach ensures patients receive treatment that addresses the whole person, not just the symptom.

At the same time, we’ve built clinical guardrails, multidisciplinary teams, and data-driven systems into our model from the start so patients get the safety, oversight, and outcomes that many fast-scaling platforms lack.

What’s the most challenging part of running a telehealth company, and how do you handle it?

Like many digital health companies, we navigate billing complexity, medication logistics, and state-specific licensing rules.  We’ve invested in backend tools that flag state requirements early, automate insurance workflows, and provide clear, consistent updates. Our clinical teams are supported with legal oversight and credentialing coordination, so compliance doesn’t slow them down. We’ve also implemented clearer refund policies and faster escalation paths for customer support.

How do you measure whether your providers are doing a great job and your patients are happy?

We both measure success through numbers and stories. That means tracking how quickly providers respond, how accurately prescriptions are filled, how well patients stick to treatment plans, and whether follow-ups are on time. For patient feedback, we use tools like satisfaction surveys, Net Promoter Scores, and EMR outcome tracking – whether that’s weight loss maintained or reduced anxiety over time. The data feeds into dashboards that help us improve training, product design, and resources.

When you’re hiring, what makes someone stand out to you?

We look for providers with experience in primary care, psychiatry, endocrinology, or weight management, ideally with licenses in multiple states. Beyond credentials, they need to be  comfortable with technology, including EMRs

Asynchronous communication and coordinated care models. For support staff, strong communication, precision, and empathy are key. Above all, we hire people who believe in our mission and want to make a difference in patients’ lives.

Telehealth talent is in high demand. How do you convince great people to join Zealthy?

We know great clinicians and staff want more than a paycheck. In shaping care protocols, and to practice meaningful medicine without bureaucracy. Many join us because they believe in scaling access to treatments that can change lives, like GLP-1s or mental health medications. We also offer equity opportunities, performance-based incentives, and ongoing professional development, ensuring people feel invested in both their careers and our mission.

Zealthy isn’t just aiming to keep up with the telehealth industry; it’s setting the bar. By integrating primary care, mental health, and metabolic support into one patient-centered platform, the team is proving that digital healthcare can be both innovative and deeply personal.

“Our mission is simple: make it easier for people to get the care they need, when they need it, with the quality they deserve,” says Kyle Robertson, Zealthy’s CEO. “The growth we’re seeing is exciting, and we’re working tirelessly to expand access to high-quality healthcare at scale.”
