How did you get started in this business?

I chose to become an electrician because it genuinely appealed to me, and I have always been interested in electrical equipment and supplies.

After serving various companies as a master electrician for a couple of years, I joined Futuristic Energy Group as the President & CEO. The main idea behind Futuristic Energy Group is to build a cleaner energy future that will support a more robust economy in the long run. Today Futuristic Energy Group is a leading electric utility company in the region, providing reliable and affordable electricity to homes and businesses in the community. It is a business that is committed to uplifting the socio-economic trajectories of its community. The business is driven by a determination to create sustainable development and keep customer-centricity. It has a strong turnaround and growth strategies record, focusing on providing innovative solutions to complex electrical challenges.

How do you make money?

Being the President & CEO of Futuristic Energy Group, I am paid a handsome salary. And as far as the company is concerned, we offer a range of products and services to our community to generate revenue.

How long did it take for you to become profitable?

If I say that I have been fortunate, it won’t be wrong. Since I had a background of working in multiple high-end electrical companies like JPSC, First Energy, KEPCO, and INTERN, I had the required network and connections to get started. It didn’t take Futuristic Energy Group to become profitable and our revenue for the first quarter was quite encouraging and handsome.

When you were starting out, was there ever a time you doubted it would work? If so, how did you handle that?

I am a risk taker by nature, and I have always taken the most challenging path to success all my life. When I was starting off, I had my homework done, and I did not doubt the success of my venture. Highs and lows are part of life, and only those who know how to handle unforeseen circumstances are bound to succeed.

How did you get your first customer?

My first customer was an ex-customer from my previous workplace. I had worked with him for quite some time, and when he came to know about my new business, he immediately contacted me for my services.

What is one marketing strategy (other than referrals) that you’re using that works really well to generate new business?

Out of all digital marketing channels and strategies, I swear by email marketing. It has proven to help Futuristic Energy Group’s growth significantly. Retargeting the customers and building a connection with them is done ideally using a well-crafted email marketing campaign.

What is the toughest decision you’ve had to make in the last few months?

Recently, I was presented with an opportunity to invest in an innovative project related to using AI in the energy sector. Although it was an excellent opportunity to explore a relatively new field that has a promising future, a discussion with my team didn’t approve of the idea, and I had to let go of that opportunity.

What do you think it is that makes you successful?

My focus and ability to take risks. I’m never afraid of failure. I believe ups and downs are part of the journey, and one must accept the lows with grace and learn from a setback to strike back with more zeal. My fearless approach to life has helped me reach where I am today.

What has been your most satisfying moment in business?

There are plenty of such moments. Most recently, when I started an Incentive Procurement Program as part of industrial energy-efficient solutions to maximize performance and cost savings, the response was overwhelming and very satisfying.

What does the future hold for your business? What are you most excited about?

A lot of innovation and success. I am really excited about new advancements in the energy sector, and I want to adopt all those innovative solutions in the coming years to serve the community even better.

What business books have inspired you?

These days I am reading “Business Strategies for Electrical Infrastructure Engineering: Capital Project Implementation” by Reginald Wilson and Hisham Younis. It’s an inspiring read.

What advice would you give to your younger self?

Be yourself and never hesitate to take a calculated risk.

Are you willing to be a mentor? If so, how should someone contact you?

Why not? I am willing to help anyone who wants guidance and advice to excel in life. People can easily reach out to me through my social media.
