Robert Gillings is a man that does what he says he’s going to do, then he does even more. He places principal family and friendship in front of money. Believes in God, Country, and family.

His philosophy is “It’s your life is yours to live”.  Forget living vicariously through others, LIFE is not a spectators sport, He says, complete yourself first. Be who you are, because we are all unique, No matter his success, he remains humble and loves genuinely.

He shuts out the negative voice of the self-interest opinionated masses.   He states, that all you have to do, is do what others said that you shouldn’t, and the voices become silent.  He says have faith in yourself, you can do anything that you dedicate yourself to,

Robert Gillings knows that we all have dreams, He says dream what to do and what you want, but many fail because they don’t fully realize that you have to WAKE up from that dream to do it. You have to decide what you want, devise a plan of action, and work it, every day.

He teaches by not telling or showing, he has them participate.  He has never been motivated by a written quote.

Robert Gillings is self-made, self-educated, yet selfless.

How did you get started in this business? What inspired you to start this business?

I started my own business when I came to realize at an early age that I must fend for myself, not rely on others or even corporations. . I worked for a conglomerate and witnessed a senior executive terminated but one year before his vested retirement. This, simply to make an example. I got the message loud and clear and resigned a short time after and began the process of creating my own business.

What inspires me is seeing others succeed. I emulate and self-educate, I make mistakes until I get it right.

How do you make money?

The ultimate way to make money is when you’re able to have your money work harder than you do, even while you sleep. You do this through investing in emerging technologies, investing in people that have proven themselves.

I believe that money is a vehicle of investment. In ART, a watch, your home, books, items that appreciate in value as they age. Even when at the supermarket, healthy choices are an investment in one’s self, health. Once you focus on that philosophy, watch how differently you use your money, you stop spending and you start investing.

How long did it take for you to become profitable?

Profitability is not always the proper measuring stick. Profits are best spent reinvesting in both personal and company growth, thus not always making it to the bottom line.

When you were starting out, was there ever a time you doubted it would work? If so, how did you handle that?

You can’t allow that defective thought process. The mind is a powerful thing that must stay focused on success, if you think you can’t, chances are, you will be right.

Usually, the negative person in your life is simply expressing their own insecurities.

To be successful, you have to see the possibilities, there are no failures, just learning experiences that will take you further along to success.

How did you get your first customer?

I got them to believe in me, who they were doing business with, regardless of what I was presenting. I sold myself first.

What is one marketing strategy (other than referrals) that you’re using that works really well to generate new business?

Embrace change because that is the one constant, stay unsatisfied, that’s how you go the extra mile.

By connecting strategy to execution.  In today’s world, rooted forward-looking perspectives to emergent opportunities and technology are the key to attracting both investors and new business to you. Do this and you won’t be dialing your phone, your phone instead will be ringing.

What is the toughest decision you’ve had to make in the last few months?

My toughest decision seems to always fall to the fact that I believe I know what to say, but wrestle with the decision whether or not to say it.

What do you think it is that makes you successful?

My experience is that, People are going to think your ideas are crazy, they will point out the difficulties, problems, and the pain.

To be successful, you must see the solutions, not the problems. They’re no failures, just learning experiences that will take you further along to success.

Luck, but I follow the belief, that the definition of the word “luck” is when opportunity and preparation meet. That’s how one puts luck on their side.

What has been your most satisfying moment in business?

The moment I realized it was a business!

What does the future hold for your business?

The future, I do love surprises, so I try not to think about it.

What are you most excited about?

What excites me most is being creative, the creative process. I enjoy my own work, I amuse and entertain myself with my own writing. BUT the real excitement comes from the emotions of others who my writing touches. When they smile, or even laugh, I would take that to be most fulfilling, exciting.

What business books have inspired you?

I’m a huge Tony Robbins fan, so “Unlimited Power” and “Inner Strength” have done it for me.

What is a recent purchase you have made that’s helped with your business?

A voice activated recorder, so I could properly recall my thinking at any given moment.

What do you believe?

I believe that laughter is medicine, that you surround yourself with those that lift you higher, cherish your true friends. I believe one has to pay close attention, listen, you will be surprised what you hear. Never give up on yourself, become excited about challenges. Don’t judge, we really don’t know what that person has been through or what they’re currently going through. I believe that one must stay focused on goals, yet remain thankful for you already have. What you have, that’s the foundation of you building even higher. The one impossible task, I don’t try to please everyone.  You don’t have to please everyone. Haters of the happy and or successful are never logical. I believe that opinions are not fact, as facts are not opinions. I believe one should do what makes one happy.  I believe that Tranquility begins when you become at peace with yourself.
