Kelly Hyman was born in Miami Beach Florida. She was raised by a single mom who was a tennis professional. This took her between New York City, New York, and Southern California. Her single mother was connected to Charleston Heston as a tennis teacher. This paved the way for Kelly to begin acting and voice acting at five years old. Some of her professional acting accolades include commercials, television soap operas, movies and the stage.

She obtained her bachelors in communication from UCLA. Knowing where she wanted to be in life, Kelly Hyman graduated with honors from the University of Florida law school. As a third-generation lawyer, she knew her goal was to help others through advocating for them when they are unable to do so on their own.

She now lives in Colorado with her husband. They enjoy traveling, helping others, and spending time with family.

What made you want to become a lawyer?

I have always wanted to make a difference in people’s lives. As a lawyer, I am able to advocate for them and impact their lives for the better. There are often times when people are unable to bring a lawsuit on their own or advocate accordingly. This is where I am able to help them and provide a way to improve their lives as they rebuild from the situation that they needed an advocate for.

What parts of your job do you find most challenging?

I am fortunate that I spent time acting in my life. It has allowed me to be able to shift perspectives and see things from my client’s perspective. It makes me a better advocate for them. I find joy in knowing I am making a difference by helping someone every day.

What do find most enjoyable?

Knowing I’m making a difference through helping people, positively changing lives brings me the most joy. It is wonderful to know that the thankful and helpful people I have worked for are now able to rebuild and live their life again.

What do you think it is that makes you successful?

I believe there are three things that make me successful. One, I always have a plan. I think out a year and set goals. Without hesitation, I share those goals with others to push myself toward accomplishing them. The second thing that I believe makes me successful is my determination. There is always a reason to keep trying. Even if things don’t go well the first time, it doesn’t mean that is a failure, it’s learning a new way to handle it. I always keep going. The third thing that I believe drives my success is my thankfulness and kindness. You should always be kind to other people as you don’t know what they are going through. Being thankful for everything that you have not only maintains contentment with life but centered as well.

What has been your most satisfying moment in business?

The end result of knowing I have helped a client and made a difference in their life, both now and in the future, provides me sanctification consistently.

What books have inspired you?

I find that the book “The Secret” by Rhonda Byrne really resonates with me.  The Law of Attraction is a concept that everyone should read about.  The more positive energy you emit, the more positive energy and things you will receive.  Your thoughts can affect your life.  It is a must read as you find your place in the universe.

What is your favorite quote?

“An individual has not started living until he can rise above the narrow confines of his individualistic concerns to the broader concerns of all humanity.” – Martin Luther King, Jr.

When you’re not working, what do you do in your down time?

I enjoy traveling with my husband. We have been able to visit all seven continents. Two of my favorites were visiting my mother’s home in Australia and taking in the breathtaking sights in Antarctica. I also enjoy volunteering.
