Mark Johnson is the Executive Director of Metabo Matrix, a weight loss manager. Johnson is an avid traveler, fitness enthusiast, entrepreneur and a marketing specialist.

Johnson received his bachelor’s degree in business administration. Upon graduating, Mark Johnson bounced around with different marketing companies really getting a feel for the industry and his skill set.

One thing always remained constant in Johnson’s life, his love for the gym. The issue as he got older became how exhausted he was when it finally came time to workout. He felt like working out was a chore and eating healthy seemed even tougher.

Mark Johnson set out to create a product that could not only increase energy levels but also help suppress appetite. Welcome Metabo Matrix to the equation. Johnson was able to do just what he set out originally to do. Metabo Matrix is a safe weight loss manager that improves energy and suppresses appetite.

With a marketing savvy mind and a passion for Metabo Matrix, Johnson was able to properly market and sell this product.

How did you get started in this business? What inspired you to start this business?

Fitness and eating healthily have been passions of mine since I can remember. I’ve always been an avid gym goer since high school days. As I’ve gotten older its been harder to find the energy to workout and harder to keep the unwanted pounds off. Metabo Matrix was a perfect fit for my lifestyle.

How do you make money?

That’s an easy question. It’s simple. We monetize from units sold. If we are able to market properly and get people interested in the product, they will buy it.

How long did it take for you to become profitable?

Naturally with starting a company I was already in the red. I knew I had a good blueprint of a product that would be successful. After the product was created and I saw the fruits of my labor, I just remember smiling knowing everything would be okay. After a few months or relentless marketing efforts and building relationships with different clients I was finally in the green. I haven’t looked back since!

When you were starting out, was there ever a time you doubted it would work? If so, how did you handle that?

I was confident in my idea and knew that there was a true need for Metabo Matrix in the market. Any workout activist knows there are days you just don’t feel like going and the same with dieting, eating well is tough. I wholeheartedly knew there was a market for my product, and that’s how I persevered through any doubt that arose.

How did you get your first customer?

Once production was complete and had the tangible product available, we started our marketing efforts. I knew that the best place to start and get honest criticism would be the gym. I secured my first sale from an avid gym goer, received feedback, sold more products to people who gave me honest feedback, then started selling online to receive feedback there. Trust me when I tell you it was an amazing feeling to sell my first unit.

What is one marketing strategy (other than referrals) that you’re using that works really well to generate new business?

Word of mouth is definitely a great asset of ours. Other than referrals, I’d have to say our best marketing effort is our relentless communication efforts. We make sure to always be available to our clients and any prospective clients. We want our customers to know we are there to assist them.

What is the toughest decision you’ve had to make in the last few months?

I’m a family oriented guy. I love spending time with my family. With a newer company, a lot of my efforts are shifted towards the business and really growing my market. This involves long hours at work, constant phone calls when I’m home, and regular business trips.

I’d have to say the toughest decision is leaving my family each morning. It’s tough. My family is extremely supportive though. They know this is my passion, it’s just hard to say goodbye every morning.

What do you think it is that makes you successful?

I definitely lend a lot of my success to my drive and work ethic. This product was created in my head, developed in front of me and now marketed by my efforts. It’s a really amazing feeling being there through the highs and lows. My drive to succeed is definitely the driving force.

As for my work ethic, it’s always been something I’ve marveled at. From hourly customer service jobs I once had, to yard work for neighbors, I always had a good work ethic. This has definitely shown in my efforts with Metabo Matrix.

What has been your most satisfying moment in business?

This would have to be a tie between when I first held the product in my hands and my first sale. Seeing the product in front of me was definitely an amazing moment. Making my first sale was equally as satisfying. It just supported my original business decision and gave me a real sense of euphoria.

What does the future hold for your business? What are you most excited about?

The future is definitely a bright one. There are quite a few of different business ventures I can make at this point. I’m really enjoying the current success and ultimately we will see what comes next. I’m enjoying every minute of this.

Of course! I’m extremely fortunate to be successfully and would love to shed some of my knowledge of the industry to young entrepreneurs.

Who would you say is your biggest influence and why?

Ultimately, I’d have to say my family. They not only are one hundred percent behind by business decisions, but when I have a bad day they are always there to comfort me. They are the ones that help me keep going!
