Jennifer Walling is a distributor of vascular solutions for doctors serving as neuro and spine surgeons. She has gained an enormous client base over the years. She has had a track record of success after success in increasing sales and distribution of several product lines. She is a powerful ally to increase the bottom-line on any product.
What gave Jennifer Walling the tenacity to take the world by storm in the unfamiliar technology industry? It has come from the strength, conviction, and integrity that she has maintained throughout her professional career. It has come from an award-winning career in sales and as an entrepreneurial spirit. She has always maintained a “never take no for an answer” approach to life in general. As a result, she and her partners have educated themselves in the language and science of technology.
Together Metapyxl will take on the technology industry to bring their idea to fruition. When the product is launched, creative professionals will be able to produce, monetize and protect their own creative work from theft.
How did you get started selling medical devices? What inspired you to do so?
I knew straight out of college that I wanted to sell medical devices. I have been selling medical devices since I graduated from college. I was selling for larger corporations such as DuPont, GE, Medtronic, and St. Jude. I was consistently at or over quota. I became an entrepreneur in 2010 when I started selling medical equipment on my own.
What is the initial strategy that Metapyxl will use to market your software?
Metapyxl is developing an authentication software encrypted with an immutable fingerprint to secure proof of creative ownership. The data cannot be scrubbed or manipulated. It will revolutionize the creative industry to eliminate the theft of creative property. It will assure ownership to the owner, giving them the ability to promote and monetize creative data with confidence.
Looking forward, partners Tiffany Walling and husband John McGarity have a large database of photographers and colleagues from all over the world. One colleague includes a close photography touch-up-artist working with A-list celebrities who has already expressed an interest in the pre-launched product. Celebrities will also be included in the initial promotion of the product. All colleagues will be the first to receive beta information upon the launch of the completed product.
What is the toughest decision that you have had to make with Metapyxl?
I still maintain my distributorship which maintains my finances. I live in a very expensive area. One of the toughest decisions that I have to make with Metapyxl is how to allocate enough time to maintain both. We have the financing available for the project, and I am dedicated to using our networks to generate interest in the new software. Much of my time is allocated to marketing. However, it is a challenge to find equal time for both businesses.
What challenges are you facing going from a product-oriented sale to a digital platform?
One of the biggest challenges we had was to find the right professionals qualified to bring this product to fruition. We wanted to be able to communicate intelligently with the technical staff during the development process. None of the partners come with an integrated technology background. We had to rely on the expertise of others. We had to educate ourselves on the latest trends in cutting-edge technologies. We also had to understand how the chip makers created Artificial Intelligence. We had to learn if Python was a viable solution to use or if it would be outdated to accomplish the task required. We learned about Blockchain and how mining is actually conducted, to name a few. Technology and the language of technology was a challenge. It became our new language as we gained greater knowledge and understanding. As a result, we have been able to attract the right people to bring the project forward.
As the search for a quality technology team ensued, Jennifer Walling and partners were introduced to a retired CEO by a trusted friend. He had sold his company but had his own team of highly qualified of coders and developers capable of fulfilling the partner’s objectives.
What do you think makes you successful?
What makes me successful is that I don’t take no for an answer. I know that ‘where there is a will there is a way’. If we could put someone on the moon, I am sure that we can find a way to give credit to the creator of digital content. I know it can be done.
What does the future hold for Metapyxl and what are you most excited about?
I think the future for Metapyxl is very bright. What we have is something extraordinary. We have taken a revolutionary approach to digital content that will impact the world in a positive way. It is a means of empowering creators and artists to take control of their own digital content. Our software will allow creators to set their own monetary terms and conditions. It excites me to know that my sister and I are engaging in the development of a state-of-the-art tool to protect artists of creative content worldwide.
What business book has inspired you along the journey?
The book that has inspired me the most is The Challenger Sale, by Matthew Dixon and Brent Adamson, the book addresses how to deal with a complex sale by asking intelligent but rhetorical questions.
What is a recent purchase that you have made for Metapyxl?
There were several purchases that had to be made. We acquired coding talent. I also enrolled in coding classes. We have acquired several Apple MacBooks and additional apple equipment for the business as well.
Do you think we need this technology?
I believe that if you are a creator of photography, music, digital art, writing, or any creative works, it is critical to have control of your own monetary terms and conditions. Up until now, control issues on copyright infringements and plagiarism have been an expensive ordeal to address. Simply writing laws to protect creator rights are time-consuming and have not been very effective. This software will eliminate the possibility of copyright infringements or plagiarism. The software will empower creative professionals to work with confidence and control.
