How did you get started with Doolan Callaghan? What inspired you to start or work as part of this business?

I was working as a lawyer in a general practice but found I had a passion for Family Law. Family Law clients inspired me to start my own Family Law practice as I wanted Family Law clients to receive specialized advice and I wanted to build a team of Family Lawyers who could provide the best possible service to Family Law clients.

When you were starting out, was there ever a time you doubted it would work? If so, how did you handle that?

Establishing your own business always comes with some doubts. However, I felt confident in my ability and I threw everything I had into setting up the best possible practice. I felt certain that with good expertise and good client service, that a successful practice could be built.

What are some of the main issues customers have before approaching Doolan Callaghan?

Separation is a very difficult time. It is a very big step for clients to engage a lawyer. Clients need to feel confident that they are engaging a lawyer that is “right for them”.

What is the toughest decision you’ve had to make in the last few months?

One of the toughest decisions I have had to make in the last few months is whether to expand my Family Law practice given the number of new clients or to consolidate the already established practice.

What do you think it is that makes you or your business successful?

In my view, it is the client service Doolan Callaghan offers to its clients, together with our high level of expertise, that makes the business successful.

What do you enjoy most about working at Doolan Callaghan?

What I enjoy most about working with Doolan Callaghan is that we have a great team and whilst many clients are going through a very difficult time, it is very rewarding to see them move on and be happy with the outcome we achieve for them.

Some of the major milestones of Doolan Callaghan have been the expansion of the practice; achieving great results and wins for our Family Law clients and having a close-knit team of Family Lawyers and support staff who generally care for their clients.

What does the future hold for your business? What are you most excited about?

The future is positive for Doolan Callaghan. I am most excited about continuing to grow and help Family Law clients on the Northern Beaches, North Shore and throughout Sydney to resolve issues they have with their family relationships.

What books, movies have inspired you either personally or professionally?

I have not been so inspired by books or movies but rather changes to Family Law.
