How did you get started in this business? What inspired you to start this business?

I began as an ordinary lawyer who could be employed in any law firm. One day I was hired to represent a complicated business case in which poor financial consultation had led to a dispute. The court directed the involved parties to settle their dispute outside the courtroom. I volunteered to offer mediation services to resolve the conflict. The two sides were satisfied with my services, and within two weeks’ time, I started to receive calls to offer professional financial consultation services.

How do you make money?

I charge clients who require my financial consultation services. Also, I have employed some lawyers who represent business cases in court on behalf of our customers. The firm has many loyal clients who are our source of income.

How long did it take for you to become profitable?

My consulting firm started to generate income three months after I commissioned it. The breakthrough was largely boosted by the expertise I provided on Wall Streets for a global hedge, Salmon Brothers, and Societe Generale companies.

When you were starting out, was there ever a time you doubted it would work? If so, how did you handle that?

As an attorney and a financial consultant and now a mentor to young generation failure has never been my option. I was determined as I have always been to see my clients achieving financial success in their firms. The best way that helped me to succeed was positive thinking in all fiscal and legal situations.

How did you get your first customer?

The first clients I served was before I founded my business. I offered professional financial mediation services to clients who were in dispute. The actual client I helped was until I worked on Wall Streets. More customers came through referrals from satisfied customers.

What is one marketing strategy (other than referrals) that you’re using that works well to generate new business?

I like to keep it simple. I do not market my services because financial success of our clients sells our business in the market.

What is the toughest decision you’ve had to make in the last few months?

Recruiting is the most difficult decision for me as a business person. This is because my firm always outsources for passionate and talented individuals who can fit with much ease in the professional business that we run.

What do you think it is that makes you successful?

Attitude and passion. Like most entrepreneurs, I have a dream to provide the most professional financial consultation and legal services to my clients. Therefore, I’m constantly looking for innovative ways to satisfy my clients’ needs.

What has been your most satisfying moment in business?

The first time one of our customers called me to testify the success of his business which he attributed to our financial consultation services was my most satisfying moment. I have been receiving such calls each day which encourages me.

What does the future hold for your business? What are you most excited about?

We are consistently looking to broaden and find new ways to assist businesses in financial and legal matters. This includes both small and large firms. I am excited to work towards the realization of this goal.

What business books or movies have inspired you?

Three important books. Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, Rework by Jason Fried and Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson. My most favorite movie is a documentary called “The Men Who Built America.” It is an educative documentary which explains how innovation by early American entrepreneur led to the creation of the modern America.

What is a recent purchase you have made that’s helped with your business?

I recently bought a software which I hope it will be helpful to my clients. It is a technological software aimed at improving our customer service.

Do you have any advice you want to share with an aspiring entrepreneur?

To be an entrepreneur has never been easy. However, it has never been impossible. There is a cost that comes with entrepreneurship ambitions. For example, lots of setbacks, stress and sleepless nights. The advice is to never give up on your dreams even if things gets tough. Keep working on your dream.

What is one goal you hope to achieve through your professional endeavors?

I wish to mentor thousands of young people to realize their dreams. I have started the program and is currently focused on the less fortunate people around the world.
